Hand soap and body lotions
We are working hard behind the scenes to bring you a range of hand and body washes and lotions in your favourite scents. These have all been cosmetically tested, are cruelty free and are suitable for vegans. I am very excited to announce that new fragrances will be released this year which will have complimenting hand and body wash and lotions to go with them.
CANDLE MAKING WORKSHOP
I will be holding candle making workshops further in the year, when safe to do so. Places will be limited so that I can give people lots of advice and attention. The days always promise to be fun and informative, where you will learn the art and science of candle making. It will be very much a hands on day where you will make and take home the following:
* A large 350g glass 3 wick candle
* A 200g tin candle
* A 100g tin candle
* A selection of tea lights
* A wax melt clamshell
* A selection of waxed, botanical decorations
* All of these will be in fragrances chosen by you on the day.
The cost of the workshop is £90pp, this will include all materials, candles made on the day to take home and a delicious light lunch.

WHAT IS CLP?
Some of you may be aware of something called CLP regarding candles and home fragrance products, but some may have never heard of this term.
CLP is the classification, labelling and packaging regulation. It is an EU law that applies to "mixtures" containing hazardous substances. You may have seen them on household products such as washing up liquid, bleach, disinfectants and it also includes candles, wax melts and reed diffusers and any other home fragrance product (including those made with essential oils) The law states that these must display a label containing specific information of the contents of the "mixture" and its various hazards. To most people these look like long chemical names and random numbers which have no meaning to them. All products such as candles, wax melts and reed diffuser's MUST BY LAW be labelled with a CLP label. This provides you, at a glance, to see whether there are any known allergens to yourself within the product before you purchase it. This came into force on 1st June 2015. Most people will never have a problem or reaction to the chemical composition of fragrances (including essential oils) but if there is that one person in a thousand that does have a known allergy to a certain ingredient they can clearly see it and avoid it.
Sadly there are many candle makers, large and small companies that do not follow the law and are not putting these CLP labels on their products. To me this is a complete disregard of the law and a complete disregard to you the customer. If I had a nut allergy and brought something that contained nuts but wasn't made aware of it, then I could be in serious danger. There is no difference between that and properly labelled candles.
I am very proud to say that all of my products are correctly labelled, each fragrance has a different CLP label as each fragrance has its own allergens. I am also fully insured. You as the customer are the most important part of my business and without you I do not have a business!
